Tiny living is a new trend since a few years and for those who do not know: I am a big fan of tiny houses! I even did a summer internship at a tiny house company called ECOBLOQ. This blog will tell you more about the amazing series Tiny House Nation with Zack Giffin and John Weisbarth!
What happens in Tiny House Nation?
In this entertaining Netflix series Zach and John are going to help families with building their tiny house. In every episode most of the tiny home is finished; the design and the frame. Zach and John finish the tiny house as best as possible by fulfilling the families' wishes and take the viewer along with the story of the inhabitants.
What can this Netflix series teach you?
Let's put first that Tiny House Nation is mainly very entertaining to watch, but besides there are certain things we can learn from this Netflix series.
1. Get inspired by the Amazing Designs
Are you also thinking about living tiny in a tiny house? Tiny House Nation is a very entertaining way to get inspired for the design of your own future tiny home! you see multiple designs and you can decide on the things you do like or do not like in a tiny home. I for example, know now for certain that I would want a great terrace in front of my future tiny home ;). What would you like?
2. Discover a new Lifestyle
Living tiny is a lifestyle change. You live automatically minimalistic, because otherwise it simply won't fit in your tiny home. Get inspired by the new minimalistic lifestyle. Participants of Tiny House Nation also state that after the downsizing they started to throw even more stuff away. They noticed that living with little stuff is way more comfortable.
3. Nothing is Impossible
Zach Giffin is a real all-rounder when it comes to building. The participants sometimes have 'impossible' wishes, but Zach makes it all possible. Get inspired in the field of construction and learn from the smart designs of Zach!
4. Smaller but Better
After every project there is an 'after' around 6 weeks after the move. I don't know how scripted Tiny House Nation is, but most participants really seem happy to live tiny. Small can thus be certainly better!
5. Financial Decision
With many participants it is remarkable that the choice of tiny living is mostly based on the financial advantage. Being less dependant financially without a mortgage. I would also find this one of the greatest advantage of living in a tiny house. What about you?
